Discover - Tasmania Australia 4K
Discover Tasmania, Australia.
I recently drove across this picturesque island, videoing and timelapsing as I went. From rugged mountains to pristine rainforests, to dark night skies - this place has it all! The amount wildlife and birdlife I got to see was incredible. I forgot that Australia was once this wild.
This video is my attempt to sum up the amazement I felt while discovering this beautiful location.

Nikon Z8 Autofocus Settings For Small Bird Photography | Nikon 180-600 f/5-6.3

This is a video about the different Nikon Z8 autofocus settings I use for small bird photography. These auto focus settings work well in the tricky environments where these tiny birds like to hang out - mostly places with lots of clutter and foliage! The Nikon Z8 makes it very easy to track these little birds. I will show you what settings I recommend for small birds, and then then jump out int...

    For unrestricted views I use Auto AF with bird detection as Steve Perry recommends. I was sceptical as it will focus where the camera thinks it should, but it locks onto birds straight away and then you can engage 3D tracking if required. For single point I use Custom C2 1x1 with bird detection. When I need no bird detection I use single point from the Lfn-1 button, but this is rarely required. Great video, thanks.

    Have you used adapted Canon EF zoom lenses on the OM1? If so how do they perform (with or without a TC)? I have a LUMIX G9 and 70-200mm f2.8L IS and 1.4TC. Great video boss straightforward explanation. But I already have far to many shots to wade through at 9 fps. I also recon I could and do get these shots with a prehistoric 850. But my images will of course be raw and at least of equal quality (some say better). The method I use is two eyes open. So the shot is set up and I then go to live view silent mode. Then I use a trigger release and a good old saying from my army days "watch and shoot" Yes on occasions I miss the first shot but hey we have to have something to come back for next time. If I set it to mode 2 I can get 30 fps jpeg! I guess the advantage of the Z9 and 8 is the focusing?

    • @Blinsaff
      @Blinsaff Месяц назад

      Cheers! Advantage of the Z8/9 is the focus and no blackout of the viewfinder when shooting at high speeds. But in the end it’s whatever works and lets you get the shot, even if it’s with “vintage” tech!
